The SCAA recommends 10 grams per 6 oz. You have 15 oz of water would be 2.5 6 oz servings. 10 grams of coffee is around 2 tablespoons so you need 5 tablespoons of coffee. Yes that 25 grams of coffee. This will make coffee at proper strength.

cappuccino is made from espresso. You should find a good espresso machine, and then you can make cappuccino.

Have you changed filter brands or types recently? Is the little drain hole at the bottom of the filter basket clogged? Good Luck

Personally I have tried BUNN nhbx-b 10 cup coffee maker. If you’re really into coffee probably you know BUNN is one of the best coffeemaker manufacturer. It costs about $100 sometimes less sometimes more. This coffeemaker is probably the best solution for home and has a reasonable price.
If you’re looking for a lower price, maybe you should consider Mr. Coffee DRX5, which is 6-cup coffeemaker (also 12-cup model available). It has well responses from the owners and is ridiculously cheap ~$30.

You can find ratings and pricing on the page below.
My personal experience is that the simpler the coffee maker, the cheaper.
Quality of coffee depends on how fresh the beans are and if they get ground immediately before brewing. Brand of coffee maker is secondary.

i use a Mr. Coffee 4 cup coffee maker. the only draw back I notice is that it takes just as much coffee to make good coffee, and I stock up when I find the filters. But it shuts it’self off in 2 hours if I forget, which I like. I also have a 10 cup Bunn that I love but I don’t make 10 cups I just make 8. It doesn’t take as much coffee per cup as the 4 cup does.

I would recommend a French Press. It makes better coffee and it's much cheaper. They are available in many sizes.
